Dr Scott Harrison completed his PhD in Economics at the University of New England, Australia, focusing on student retention and how digital technologies can support students better. After completing his PhD, Scott moved to Siegen, Germany to work on the EU funded EDUWORKS project, where he researched the knowledge gaps in the interaction between job markets and education. Scott currently works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Information and Research in Education in Frankfurt. His current work involves statistical analysis of data obtained from the PISA test administered by the OECD, to determine the impact of transitioning this large scale assessment from a pen and paper test to a digital test. Scott is the current German Chapter Chair for the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA), and has a keen interest in supporting PhD student mental health research.
